Where is your god now?

sunnuntai 8. toukokuuta 2011

I'm sorry I had some downtime this saturday, after Tour Espoo I've just been looking to the emptiness of my floor. The competition took everything out from me. No riding for this saturday. I however managed to grab myself a new fancy accessory.

contemporary riding

found this great spot from oittaa while participiating in todays last part of tour espoo. Ranked up 11th of 50. Guess that was pretty good? Btw, I'm posting this update from my mobile, you fellow dirt bikers can probably find me if you know the place. Next update is going to be about road biking.

Pictures from Tour Espoo part 2

Here are some pictures from Tour Espoo offroad part. Uploading some more when I have the time. The track was like this, pretty much vegetation huh?

Eating some homemade food after tour Espoo.

Eating some homemade food after tour Espoo. In the background you can see my gps or bicycle computer I use while biking, a wonderful tool indeed. I use it even for contemporary riding, just like to follow totally random roads and still be able to get to home safely. It makes me feel so adventurous.

Greetings from Tour Espoo!

Greetings from Tour Espoo to all my readers! Tour Espoo is a bicycling competition held here in Espoo. Its a local competition consisting of 68 kilometers of road and 22 kilometers of offroad biking. The change of bicycle frame, gears or tires is not permissible and thus the latter part tends to dominate the choice of equipment competetors use. I decide to use my Dbs mountain bike for this competition. It weights the considerable 15 kilos and therefore is not very suitable for the first part of the competition. After these 68 kilometers I felt dead, exhausted and very angry I decided to choose my mountain bike and not my hybrid. Well, I guess I can still rank up in this competition. We will see tomorrow after the offroad part.
Tour de Espoo preparations. I always carry one of these water packs with me because they allow for a simple way to access the water supply traveling with me. Don't need to stop and don't need to take my right hand out of the steering. Simply awesome. Now, I need to dress up and concentrate on the upcoming event, I promise to take some pictures and probably even blog from out there.

This is my Cannondale 22''. It's body is made of full carbon BB30 with blue color, has Mavic Ksyrium Elite disks and gears by Shimano (Dura Ace 7900). It's total weight is 820 grams, the body weighting 600 grams. This low weight allows for extraordinarily amazing climbing speed combined with manouverability. Since the roads here in Finland are not very well constructed I tend to favor a little bit heavier tires than people usually have.

My very first update!

Here's my very first update about bicycling, the hobby I love. Welcome here to my blog where I keep data on my bicycling habits and all sorts of things related to the art of bicycling. This is my cross-country bicycle, the cheap old DBS with 24 gears (Lowest possible Shimano-quality of course) and Hogan suspension. It's been my workhorse for some time, I use it to get to school and that sorts of things. But my main tool is the Cannondale road-bike weighting 820 grams and boasting with it's 22'' wheels and aluminium wireframe.
